Add bulk export for meeting transcripts
As a PM, I want to export multiple transcripts as a ZIP so I can archive session records for quarterly reviews.
Fix pagination reset on filter change
As a user, I want pagination to persist when I change filters so I don't lose my place during story review.
Linear webhook bidirectional sync
As a PM, I want story statuses to update automatically when my team moves issues in Linear so both tools stay in sync.
Works with your entire stack
Connect the tools you already use - Spectr reads them for context and publishes review-ready stories right back into your workflow.
The pipeline
From recording to backlog in minutes
Three stages. Fully automated except the part that matters - the human review.
Import your meeting
Import a meeting from Fathom, Granola, or Read.ai in one click, paste a transcript directly, or upload a PDF or TXT file. Spectr filters each import list down to the meetings relevant to the project you're in.
AI extracts & generates
Spectr reads the transcript, fetches context from Notion, Figma, and GitHub, then extracts a structured spec and generates per-requirement user stories with acceptance criteria.
Review & publish
Open the review page, edit stories inline if needed, then bulk-approve or reject individually. Approved stories publish directly to your Linear team or Shortcut workspace.
Everything you need
Built for product teams that move fast
One-Click Meeting Import
Import any meeting from Fathom, Granola, or Read.ai in a click - Spectr surfaces the ones relevant to your project. Or paste a transcript, or upload a PDF or TXT.
AI Spec Extraction
Spectr reads the transcript and pulls out requirements, bugs, decisions, and action items - structured and tagged, not a wall of text.
Contextual Story Generation
Stories come with real context: Spectr pulls from your live Notion docs and Figma files to write acceptance criteria, not just paraphrase the transcript.
Human Review Required
Nothing reaches JIRA, Linear, or Shortcut without a PM approving it. Edit inline, bulk-approve, or reject with a reason - full audit trail included.
Configurable Pipeline & Project Memory
Four per-project switches control how far automation runs, and a persistent knowledge base - architecture, features, glossary, open questions - gets smarter with every meeting (Starter and above).
AI Assistant
Chat with your project in plain language. It answers from your meetings, specs, requirements, stories, budget, team, and scope creep - showing its reasoning and linking every source. Scope it to one project or the whole workspace, and keep it private or shared (Starter and above).
Living Requirements Docs
Versioned BRD/PRD docs from pasted text, files, or meetings. Iterate with AI, tag versions when scope is agreed, and anchor every spec sheet to the latest.
Scope Creep Tracking
Spectr flags out-of-scope work as it surfaces - each with an AI confidence score - then tracks every exclusion: confirm it, defer it to a later phase, dismiss a false positive, or approve it back into scope.
Budget & Team Tracking
Connect Harvest and Forecast for budget vs spend, at-a-glance health, and per-member allocation and logged hours - with a workspace Budget page where dollar figures stay admin-only. Team rosters build automatically; assign delivery roles from templates or let AI fill them from Project Memory, and put any teammate on a story so work routes to the right owner.
12 Native Integrations
Fathom, Granola, Read.ai, Notion, Figma, GitHub, Google Workspace, JIRA, Linear, Shortcut, Harvest, and Forecast - OAuth-secured and auto-refreshed, or connected by API key.
Published-Story Completion Tracking
Once stories are published to JIRA, Linear, or Shortcut, Spectr tracks whether they actually get done - marking a story done only when it's complete in every tool, and feeding that signal into your budget projection.
Story Hierarchy Control
Choose how generated work is grouped - a per-project setting scales from a flat list to fully nested stories and sub-tasks, with labels you name.
Product tour
See Spectr in action
From AI-extracted spec sheets and living requirements to real-time scope-creep alerts, per-project budgets, auto-assembled teams, and an AI assistant that chats with your whole project - explore Spectr's whole workflow.
Every requirement, bug, and decision - automatically structured.
Spectr reads your entire transcript and extracts everything that matters: functional requirements with source quotes, bugs with severity ratings, architectural decisions, and action items - all in one structured spec sheet.
Scope that stays current, version by version.
Create a living BRD or PRD from pasted text, an uploaded file, or your meetings. Tag a version when scope is agreed - the latest tagged version is automatically injected into every spec sheet Spectr generates.
Catch scope creep before it derails the sprint.
Spectr flags out-of-scope work the moment it surfaces - in a meeting, a requirement, or a story - and tracks every exclusion through its lifecycle. Confirm it, defer it to a future phase, dismiss a false positive, or approve it back into scope. Linked stories update automatically.
Know exactly where every project's budget stands.
Connect Harvest and every project's budget and spend lands in Spectr - budgeted versus spent versus remaining, with on-track, near-limit, and over-budget health at a glance. Add Forecast and each project also shows per-member allocation and logged hours right beside the budget.
Every project's team, assembled automatically.
Spectr pulls each project's members from Linear, Shortcut, Harvest, and Forecast, then AI-fills every person's role - so new stories route straight to the right owner, and you can put any teammate on a story or task.
Chat with your whole project - and see how it got there.
Ask the AI Assistant anything in plain language. It searches across your projects, meetings, spec sheets, requirements, stories, AI Memory, budget, team, and scope-creep - showing its reasoning and every source it checked, each linked. Scope a chat to one project or the whole workspace, pick your model, and keep it private or share it with your team.

Everything you need to know about Spectr
Is Spectr Free? Is a Trial possible?

No credit card required - sign up and start immediately. After the trial, you can continue on a paid plan or use the free tier with basic features.
What models do you use and for what features?
Spectr uses Claude (Anthropic's AI models) for core features like spec extraction, story generation, requirements synthesis, and scope creep detection. Each task is optimized for the right balance of speed and reasoning:
- Meeting processing and context gathering: Sonnet 5 (high-quality analysis)
- Spec extraction and story generation: Sonnet 5 (structured reasoning)
- Memory synthesis and summaries: Haiku 4.5 (fast, efficient)
- Requirements and advanced generation: Opus 4.8 (best reasoning)
About context limits: Our AI processes your meetings, requirements, and design files up to reasonable limits per request - typically 60k+ characters for transcripts and 20k+ for documentation. Premium plans include higher context allowances and longer-term project memory (up to 100k chars) for deeper understanding across your entire project. We don't reveal specific optimization techniques, but our context handling is built to capture the information that matters while keeping responses fast and accurate.
I have feedback / suggestions / technical issues, where to reach out?
